REINER RIEDLER’s book “Sweat” is a sophisticated object: the cover, consisting of printed linen with a silver embossing and mounted on cardboard, is a stable wrap for the core. The book itself is an accordion-fold leporello book. It has black paper pages which were printed with silver ink – a rare encounter but nevertheless a very pleasing combination. The Cover is held with two elastic strings.
Used materials and techniques: offset printing of the core, the foldouts and dust cover, relief varnishing with screen printing technique, 3D-embossing on the dust cover. Munken Polar 220 gr for the core and the foldouts, Dutch cupboard LuxLine for the cover, textile material Arkonia for the spine, Chromolux carton for the dust cover.
